What the business says

Structural and maintenance points played the major role in the result that was given. Shortly before the inspection date we had a blocked pipe issue which resulted in a major leak/flood around the pot wash area. The water got underneath all the tiles in that area causing cracked tiles and water remaining underneath the tiled floor. We viewed this as unsafe and decided to remove the tiles in the short term whilst we engaged with contractors on a solution for the floor. This allowed us to remove the water and clean the area in the interim, but meant we had a damaged floor surface present. The failed pipework had been attended by a tradesperson prior to the inspection but their repair had failed, we had recalled them and they were due to attend later in the week of the inspection to fix the pipe fully so it was no longer leaking. However, at the time of inspection the ourtside pipework was awaiting this repair and the kitchen floor was awaiting repair/replacement with suitable contractor availability. Subsequently the pipework has been fixed and the flooring throughout the kitchen has been fully replaced removing all tiles and replacing with a new vinyl floor (see pictures). Any further points raised have been addressed and a re-inspection will be requested now the floor has been replaced.
