What the business says

As the owner of a small artisan chilli product business with a strong track record of food safety and quality, I would like to provide context around our most recent food hygiene rating.

Prior to this inspection, our business proudly maintained a consistent Food Hygiene Rating of 5 while operating from a registered home kitchen. We made the decision to invest in the long-term future of the business by upgrading to a dedicated, purpose-built food production workshop. This move was made to meet increased demand, improve efficiency, and maintain our commitment to the highest possible standards of hygiene and food safety.

We recognise that transitioning to a new facility naturally brings fresh inspections and updated compliance requirements. Following the inspection, we received valuable feedback from the Environmental Health Officer. All recommendations made have now been fully implemented and adhered to. We have also reviewed and strengthened our food safety management systems to ensure continued compliance with best practices.

We remain absolutely committed to maintaining the highest hygiene standards and regaining our Food Hygiene Rating of 5 at the next eligible re-inspection, which will be possible 11 months from the initial visit.
